Question for Circumcised males.

This is not a medical question,i am purely looking for information on peoples experiences.

I got circumcised in march and there were no complications. I find sex a lot easier and less painful than before and it has not effected me negatively during intercourse but there is one thing which i would like to know have other males experienced after circumcision and what was the outcome.

My glans or the "head" of my penis has become desensitised. So much so that a light touch of a finger or tongue would go unnoticed,or the whole point not create any pleasure or arousal. Im thinking it is becoming a bit more senitive as time goes on but I cant be 100% sure.

What I would like to know is have other males experienced desensitivity to this extent and has it been permanent or does it subside?

    Anyone had similar experiences?

there was no change for me anyway, got the op about three years ago. I suppose I wouldn't notice a VERY light touch, but if the intent was to arouse, I'd get aroused :)

You should probably see a doctor just in case something can be done about it. Personally i had it done at a very young age for medical reasons. I'm not sure how sensitive it's supposed to be but it's always felt a little less sensitive then it should be.

I'm circumcised and, except for a few days after the operation, I can't say I've noticed any real loss or gain where sensitivity is concerned.

If you've got a girlfriend (or even just know a very willing friend) you could ask for a hand/blow job (without mentioning to them the issue of sensitivity) and see how you get on.

If you're lying there for five minutes and can't feel a thing then I'd probably head off to your GP to see about it.

Personally, If someone rubs against or touches, etc. mine, unless it's really, really lightly, I can feel it straight away.

Following the operation, were you given anything to put on it or anything? I was given a gel-syringe thingy-ma-bob that was supposed to numben me. I was to use it for a few days following the operation when it would generally be uncomfortable to walk, etc. (though in saying that, maybe I'm just odd, but it was absolutely useless and made no difference to me).

I wear camo/combat pants during my daily life. They have a zipper on them and if my boxer shorts move or open or anything like that, and my little fella (eh, i mean, HUGE fella :pac: ) rubs off the zip when I'm standing/walking, etc. then I notice that immediately and have to adjust myself before I can move again.

It's five months for you though. When five months passed for me, as far as I can remember i was feeling normal and had gotten over any post-operation issues I was having.

I went to my GP about two or three weeks after the operation to get my self checked out by him (he was the guy that set it all up for me, and advised i go back to him afterward to get checked out for any infection or abnormalities that may have occurred). Did you do this? I didn't have any complications, so I got off free, but if you didn't go to the GP there's a possibility you could have possibly caught something or something like that. It's hugely unlikely, but still.

Everyone is going to have a different experience though. If you're not feeling all too confident about your sensitivity then I'd really reccomend visiting your GP. I know the thoughts of whipping it out in front of him/her can be daunting, but I'd be more concerned about my body parts than someone's opinion of my Iron Giant ( :pac: ).

I've been circumcised since I was about 12 and I'm pretty un-sensitive there alright.
If I was you, I wouldnt worry about it but in saying that if you are worried about it then do get yourself checked out.
If only to put your mind at rest.

It is natural to become less sensitive, due to every day wear and tear that you wouldnt have normally had; but as others have stated you shouldnt be losing feeling.
