    Hey gang

    hope yer all well.

I have just completed a degree and masters in Information Systems.

I have 6 months directly related work experience.

I am currently in Germany, and working for a small company doing, a bit of tech support, fraud analysis, and proof reading work.

I am herr in Germany to become fluent int he language, but I also wish to live and work here for a good.

However, my current level of German is not fluent, so I wish to apply for jobs that match up with my level of experience.

I am finding it difficult to find work that matches up with my experience.

I have semi fluent German and French and am free to travel to anywhere in Europe, that is continental Europe, Ireland or the UK.

I know now that I may be contradicting myself, by saying that I am willing to return to Ireland or UK for work, but if I get a year or two work experience I can always come back to Germany and find an experienced role, with ease (hopefully) and perfect my language skills then.

I am relying on the internet 100% for finding work.

    I use:
    www.monster.com/de/ie/fr/.co.uk
    www.jobserve.com

Maybe this is where I am going wrong?

I would be very glad of any advise or guidance.

    Thanks for your reading

    All the best,

    Ed

    Sorry what's your question?

You want to leave your current job in Germany to work in a different job either in Germany or Ireland/UK?

It strikes me that the obvious answer is to look at how you can increase your German fluency more quickly.

If you are already in Germany, and have a job in German, what's the problem?

I am looking for a job that is directly related to what i studied.

I am looking for something like an analyst role, in the area of crm, scm, or just simply a business analysis role of some sort.

    thanks for your help

As you say, you just completed your qualifications.

My advice to you would be to stay in your current job while your German improves. Take advantage of the fact that it's a small company by offering to help run their network, etc.

I actually work for a CRM company and I assure you it's not a very exciting area. :) The people I know who work as business analysts (for my employer) started out working as technical writers, QA, and support and then transferred into the business analyst position.

An area you could look into is writing extensions for CRM software. It would look good on your CV, might make you some money, and would make you employable by CRM consultancy companies. If you want to PM me I'll tell you more about this.

Ed - stay put, things are dead in the I.T. sector here in Ireland at the minute and probably will remain so for the next twelve months.

It would be next to impossible to get anything with your level of experience at home right now.

    Count your chickens!

Ed the grad programs are coming up soon again for UK and Ireland if not further afield, so try you're hat at those.

Have a look at what companies in the UK/Ireland have a location in Germany and if all goes well look to move back in a few years or something.

I'd stay put if I were you, use the job you are in as a stepping stone after 1-2 years, Ive 5years in support and cant even get a job in that. So I'd stay in Germany in the job you have and work on getting fluent in German (maybe French aswell) and maybe after 2 years try looking, or until the downturn changes (if it does)
