Buying an iPhone abroad...

    Hello,

So I'm thinking about buying an iPhone when I go to Italy in a few weeks. What I'm wondering though is, what is the policy if something goes wrong with it and I need to get it fixed/replaced? I don't know anyone in Italy so there's no Italian address that I have available to use should they need it.

I'm guessing that posting it back from here is not an option.

Anyone know what the score is with the warranty and stuff?

In an ideal world if something did go wrong, it would be nice if Apple Ireland/UK could sort it out.

    Cheers.

PS: Sorry, I'm not able to pick up an iPhone for anyone else.

I'm 99% sure that if you have an Italian Warranty, it has to be sent somewhere in Italy. Apple UK/Ireland won't repair it for you
