Lookin at a Glanza going cheap.
Its a 1.3 turbo but was told i dont insure it as a turbo because the tax book says non turbo?

As far as im aware you must insure your car with all mods
ie. Have a clio and lose your head and do it up, you must inform your insurance company?

Insuring it as a non turbo would i get away with it with the guards but if i had an accident i wouldnt get a penny?

Won't get away with it with the Gardai and if anything happens the insurance companies can come after you for all money paid out.

The Gardai are wise to this now and when they stop Glanza's they look at the back wheels for drums or discs. If it's discs they call your insurance company to ask if it's insured as a turbo and if not car is lifted.

u get away with it depending on a guard, if hes a minx he will check everything, if he dsnt care too much he'll check the discs and let u go provided everything is ok and in place

You will likely "get away with it" provided you don't have a claim, but should you have a claim you are actually driving around with no insurance as you have voided the policy by not declaring it's a turbo. The guards are unlikely to really care as your insurance company will cover all third party damages against you but will then sue you for these damages. If you are an idiot go for it, if you have a brain in your head don't :D.
