Went to look a one today from a main skoda dealer. Was told by him (and others) that they are all ex-skoda Uk cars. The few I've seen were nicely spec'd compared to Irish equivalent and were retailing at between 16,600 and 18,500 depending on spec level.

Was ready to 'deal' but this particular dealer wouldn't accept a trade-in, nor would he give a fiver off his asking price, citing vrt, sterling, etc.

Fair enough; we all know the motor trade in banjoed at the moment.

My trade-in was five year old petrol one and i was only expecting about 4k. And I wasn't going to buy straight without a discount.

Anybody else been trying to buy one and coming up against this?
