I'm looking for some tips and ideas on reducing drafts in my house. Stuff like sealing windowsills and skirting boards, fitting draft excluders on doors?

I'm wondering what are the problems areas and where to buy the products needed.

    Anyone?

Its fairly basic stuff. You need to check where the draughts are coming from and plug the gaps so to speak.

As you said window sills and doors are always a potential source of problems. But you will also find draughts coming from trap doors, waste pipe outlets, wall sockets etc etc. If you pump your walls (depending on what type of walls) with something like EcoBead then that will eliminate a lot of draughts and give you the added bonus of extra insulation. Any good hardware store like Atlantic Homecare, Homebase etc will help you with advice and materials.

I'll move this to the main Planning & Construction forum
