    Game runs on XP perfectly everything on high with PP disabled.

    Pog said W7 was better so i changed over completley, game is running like a dog just shudders every few seconds, but it does look nice :D

    Just most of a time a serious of still pictures, tried changing all settings from low to high doesnt matter still drops to 1fps at random times.


    Using latest Cats on w7, E6850 2gb ram and 4870, its unplayable and i blame pog :D

    LOL, blame Pog, Well I've just installed Win 7 and have noticed a huge increase, unbelievably about 10-15fps more than Vista 64. I honestly had to restart the game as I thought it was a superfast bug :eek:

    You need more ram m8, 2GB isn't enough for this game with any OS as it can use 2GB by itself, neways ram is for peanuts lately. A Quad would also make a big difference for You as it uses 4 cores, what chipset have u got? Did You reinstall the game? Did You defrag? Did u use a proper defrag, not the crappy Windows one?

    Well, the performance gains weren't as good as I thought at first, but I still got an increase going to Win 7, feels alot smoother

    Video memory thing fixed it.


    Game does look better on W7 but i was going from 60 fps with everything on very high to 0. Changed the video memory to Low with 4870 and it runs perfect now.

    Still your fault tho :pac:

    Is it a 1GB 4870 You got? Set it to default, Video memory setting 'Default' uses the value in Arma2.cfg. 'Very High' is 512mb, therefore 'Default' will actually be higher if your card has more than 512mb vram.

    Another unusual one for this game, Shadow setting 'Very High' usually offers better performance than 'High'

    Default gave the same problem, its 512mb. Low does the trick everything else on Very high and PP off.


    Odd tho i was getting even when i tried it in 800*600 and set CCC to performance.


    Fixed now :D

    That's not necessary under Win7 from what I can see, I only have two and it's fine. Running with an E6600, and HD4850
