Bringing Older Dog on Long Journey

Would it be alright to bring an older dog (14 y/o Springer Spaniel) on a longish (3 hour) car journey? He has no problems travelling in cars, and travels in them regularly, but only on much shorter journeys (no longer than 20 mins).

I can't see why not, if he doesn't get stressed in cars and he's comfortable then he should be ok. Make sure the cars not too warm and stop a few times to let him out for a stretch/drink of water etc.

There shouldn't be a problem as long as you ensure he's not too hot and doesn't get dehydrated.
