Ooo that looks to be just the ticket.only downside is the restriction of the 500gb drive. However there is the option of adding an external drive which is good and hopefully not too messy.

    cheers fredh3as

    Do not buy an xtreamer!!!!
At least not until they get their supply to distribution chain sorted. I ordered mine on July 14th and they charged my paypal ac straight away but i'm still waiting for it to be shipped. Complete joke of a customer "service". The amount of un happy customers on their official forums waiting for the product to be shipped is ridiculous (me included )

Yes you can put a hard drive in. I have one from a differernet manufacturer - ISTAR. There's lots of these NMT based devices about - eGreat, HDX are two more for example.

What's really great about the NMT devices is the user community who have developed hundreds of apps for these devices.

cheers mediatank. So just to confirm a few questions i have - I can move any kind of files from my pc to the popcornhour, and I can work on them through my pc as I go. For example I'd like to be able to work on photoshop or illustrator, but don't want to save them to my own hard drive as its quite full.

Also, is it possible to use on mac?I didn't see that on the spec sheet.

    Cheers again

Yes and yes. With a HD installed the PCH becomes a NAS, so you can work with files over SMB (SAMBA).
