Grant Office looking for sisters confirmation of registering for college

I have this problem where the grant office is looking for my sisters confirmation of registering for the year 09/10 for college but she doesnt register until after i have to and the closing date for the grant is the 30th of august.

So im just wondering if they can expect me somehow to get this in before the closing date when they know everyone doesnt register until september.

I might then have to pay the registration fee up front and mightnt even get the grant when it does go through and then im out 1500euro and unable to finish college because i cant afford it.

Does anyone have any ideas on what i should do? was thinking of sending them a letter back with my application form explaining all this. The same office has my sisters application and she has already been accepted for it so there giving her the grant and all. Can they not just look up hers for proof?

    Thanks for any feedback

Confirmation of registration? I wasn't aware they asked for that... Don't they just ask for a letter of acceptance? And, from what I've seen others saying, a printed copy of the email the CAO sent your sister regarding her acceptance of her course will do the job just fine.

Yeah it says on the unfinished application form they sent me back "please supply letter from siblings college to confirm that they are registered for the current academic year" so im guessing there looking for actual proof that she is registered which is impossible to get in time.

Shes starting her 2nd year of the course so she doesnt have any cao forms or anything to show proof but does have a bank giro and other forms that show shes at least accepted for the second year etc. Just not confirmation of registering for the actual year.

It does make a difference in the amount i get if i am accepted for the grant so i know why its important to know shes going back, but just havent an idea on how to go about it and if its even possible to get it through in time.

Ill probably send in the bank giro and other welcome back forms she got from college and also send in a letter with them explaining most of this to them and hope for the best. Just find it annoying them asking for this when they know its nearly impossible to get and they have her infomation on file right beside them in the same office that they accepted her grant on.

    Thanks

Yah, just send in everything that you can to show that she has been accepted for her place.

Also, as far as I know, she'll still get the grant. Once she has submitted her form before the 31st it's ok, she can send on amendments and other requirements after that date and she would still get it. The only problem with that is it mightn't be on time, meaning she might have to pay the registration fee, being refunded the amount whenever the grant comes through.

    Yeah will do.

Yeah shes already had her grant put through and been told shes getting it, its for my grant application there looking for it for.

Though yeah it would be good if i can still make amendments and send stuff back in after the closing date once ive applyed for it beforehand, ill have to see how that goes and hopefully have something sorted so i wont be forced to try and pay the reg fee.

    Thanks for the help mate
