eBay "Invalid Postcode" problem

This is the second time in the last week that I've gotten an "invalid postcode" error when I try to pay for an item. I've emailled ebay already but amn't expecting much. First time I got the seller to send a paypal request instead.

This is really annoying 'cos I've been using the exact same address for the last 5 years without a problem!!

    I've read previous posts and tried just about everything - Dublin 3, Dublin3, D3, EIRE, -, 0, 0000, BT11AA, ZZ75, all in vain.

Anyone got any suggestions what to do or try next? I'm losing the rag and so is the seller.

    It is what it's.

What's giving you the invalid postcode error - is it for shipping?

Did you try entering maybe 1 or 2 or just a single digit great than 0? That should do it. I sometimes get an error message if I enter say Dublin 1 but if I enter 1 than the form allows me to proceed. Even if you don't live in Dublin, you could enter a single digit like 1 and the postie will probably know to ignore it.
