    Hi,

I hope someone can help me with a problem I have connecting a Sony RDR-HXD995 to record from my Chorus box. I have an old Chrorus box (10+ years old, unsure of exact model), I recently bought a Sony RDR-HXD995, and am unable to get it working correctly. The Chorus is connected into Line 1 scart on the Sony. The Sony Line 3 scart outputs to the TV (Samsung 32" LE32R3) into a scart EXT on the TV. The picture does come up but displays in black and white only. I've tried messing around with various settings on it but seem unable to get it working.

The picture output from the Chorus box directly to the TV works fine via scart. Also the analog aerial from the Sony to the TV works ok in colour, but this only gives me RTE1 and RTE2.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem? Would appreciate any help.

    Thanks

Have you tried switching the Scarts around?
Sounds like you need to hook up your tv to an RGB scart connection....

Thanks for this, I kind of got around it by running the chorus box by scart to the pvr, then linking that to the tv by hdmi. Works ok now.

Hi all am new to this boards forum but really need help. Am in an area where I can't get the UPC DVR as it hasnt arrived here yet. So went out and bought a LG DVD Recorder with HDD. Cannot figure out what scart goes to what scart and what is the RFcable for. In my middle years and am utterly useless when it comes to teccie stuff...can barely use a computer. I have digital max subscription. and a sagem type box approx 5 years old. Please help or it will end up gathering dust and I will miss all the good programmes that are on too late. Thanks
