I've been waiting on a tyre delivery from PBK for almost two weeks now (shipped 12 August).

    Is this normal?

Apparently they use Royal Mail and there is no tracking available. I called them and they told me that RM conditions are that the item must be undelivered for 28 days before insurance kicks in and they can re-send.

No it's not normal. PBK has been the fastest from all the shops for me, most of the times i have it delivered in 2 days.

Did you use standard shipping? Apparently there is a ParcelForce option, but I don't recall seeing it.

I am not sure, i don't think i changed anything. It's probably under a price range that they send with parcelforce or with royal mail. A 120e order though came through royal mail. I ordered monday noon and wednesday morning was here.

What tyres were they? I ordered a pair of a pair of Vittoria Corsa CX's when they were on sale, and after I went through with the order the stock status showed -3!! Obviously someone else ordered some of the last ones at the same time as me. After about a week or so with no further progress, I emailed PBK and they told me that they had oversold and that they were ordering in some for me. Once they were back in stock again they sent them out to me straight away at the sale price. Maybe this is what happened your tyres, check it out!

I got a "your order has shipped" notification, so I don't think it was a stock issue.

Stupid Royal Mail. I'll be having words with Liz the next time I'm in Windsor...

I ordered shorts and pedals on the 10th of July, they arrived last Wednesday which was 29 working days. I emailed them about and they couldn't hive a reason for the delay, it was very annoying, would put me off using them Again

Well, my tyres and tubes from PBK arrived today, 2 September 2009.

The package has a Royal Mail sticker on, with "AIRMAIL, Dispatch Date 12 08 2009 Wednesday 11:02".

That makes an average speed of 0.5 kph over 21 days.

    The address is perfect.

I have ordered from PBK a fair bit. ONE order was massively delayed, took around 3 weeks. It was opened and re-sealed at some point, by Royal Mail/Customs/An Post I can't remember. A pair of bib tights was all that was in it. It was bad enough that I got on to them all right and they told me the same about claims. All others have been fine, probably around a week normally.

In fairness to them, they do seem to post them when they say they do.

A recent order of cleaning products had a leaking Shimano bike cleaning concentrate and arrived in a soggy box sealed with an An Post plastic bag saying it had been damaged in transit... everything was fine though other than my losing maybe 100ml of bike cleaner and everyone else in the office forcing me to put it outside the door due to the smell. Kicking myself I didn't get more stuff in that cleaning products sale, it was the business (I spent a mere £150.)
