    Hi guys,
just posting wondering if any one has any longboards or mini-mals for sale at a reasonable enough price.I already have a short board and a mini-mal but am looking for either another mini or longboard to mess around on.
Not looking for a bic or a foamy or anything like that.I can source a decent fibre glass(Spider) 8" board for 300 from england, but would rather spend the money in Ireland, so if any one can do any better please let me know as would be interested.
    Cheers in advance guys.

There's a natural surf brand new in my local marine store for 350, its down in kilmore quay in Wexford. Might be a bit far away but i thought it was a good price

cheers guys but am looking for something a bit cheaper cause its really only going to be something to mess around on as it won't be my primary board. However saying that, I might check out that store in Wexford.

Bics are mini mals. And are a great beginner board.

shop around and you can get them cheaper eg for less than 300 euro including free leash + wax from shops on the n. west coast.

Got a 10' board from mr.Dukes on here a short while ago. In around the 200 region.

+1 on checking all the surfshops about for second hand stock. Might do well to ring a bunch and ask what they have, then go see the ones that interest you.

Don't knock the bics either... ;)

I'd need delivery of it then and it'd be up to over 400 im sure. I dont "surf" anyway, I kayak, windsurf and learning o kite atm. But, would take one for under 300 with leash and wax etc!!!

Whats your reasoning for this Meatwad? Why would you use a lesser board when you can grab a more familiar better board which would ensure a better quality surf?
By compromising on your equipment then your surf session will be compromised, wither it be surfing a shortboard, mini-mal or l'board.

Why not contact some of the shapers mentioned elsewhere on this forum, some of 'em can offer great longboards at very reasonable prices.

Oh, and Bics suck more then a gay pornstar!!!:p:p:p

I'm not sure I get why he wants 3 boards either
A shortboard and a longboard I could understand, but why keep the mini mal?

My reasoning for a cheaper LB was purely economic, why spend big bucks on a shaper board when its your backup board for small summer days?

Don't get me wrong, when the days comes that I have the cash for a pretty longboard i'll get one but at the moment the cheap beat up one catches waves just fine. I presume this is the OPs reasoning too. ;)

they seem difficult to pick up second hand which has surprised me somewhat

No! He was being sarcastic (I hope!)

They are seen as a beginner board due to the high numbers of beginners who buy them and are in demand by beginners. They also hold their value very well because of this. A fine board and there are many people who have them.

why I want the three boards is basically cause my wife normally uses a minimal and I wouldn't mind having an alternate on the mild days as well was going through a fairly crap week of surfing where the waves seemed to avoid me like the plague and I either pearled or just took a header on those I caught. Was fit to bust the board but over all that now.Actually managed to pick up a board over 9 foot today for a good price from a chap I met, so all is good.
Thanks lads for the help and would just like to add(Cecil Mor) that I actually do plan in the autumn when I have a few bucks on getting in contact with a shaper and getting a custom board ,as the main board I have is getting a bit battered as well.I checked out that glide place's web site and have to say the boards look top notch and would love to get a custom design on it.I do think its important to try and support the local talent, as long as they're doing a good job and not charging over the odds for it either.
