Replacements: 16 Aled de Malmanche, 17 John Afoa, 18 Jason Eaton, 19 Rodney So'oialo, 20 Brendon Leonard, 21 Stephen Donald, 22 Ma'a Nonu.

Australia: 15 James O'Connor, 14 Lachie Turner, 13 Adam Ashley-Cooper, 12 Berrick Barnes, 11 Drew Mitchell, 10 Matt Giteau, 9 Luke Burgess, 8 Richard Brown, 7 George Smith (c), 6 Rocky Elsom, 5 Nathan Sharpe, 4 James Horwill, 3 Al Baxter, 2 Stephen Moore, 1 Benn Robinson.
Replacements: 16 Tatafu Polota-Nau, 17 Ben Alexander, 18 Dean Mumm, 19 David Pocock, 20 Will Genia, 21 Ryan Cross, 22 Peter Hynes.

Really looking forward to this test. The return of Dan Carter to International rugby, a battle between the 2 best 10's in international rugby. This is also the real test for James O'Connor at full back, he could make a major name for himself tomorrow having just turned 19 last month. Also is it just me or is Owen Franks a Sean O'Brien lookalike? 1000 posts :D

Forget about Carter its all about Rocky can't wait to see the impact he has in this game.

How good is this James O Connor guy I watched the SA game and he didnt seem to be up to much but he is very young I suppose.

I thought he did really well in the SA match. Looked really impressive going forward apart from that one knock on in the final minute or so

Yeah I agree he did well but he is no Kearney.. there seem to be alot of hype about this fella but from the couple of games I seen he was good not spectacular

If a 19 y/o fullback is 'good' at international level than he deserves some hype!

Is it just me or is Kaplan's refereeing abysmal?

Woodcock not waiting for "engage". Sharpe legitimate tackle there on scrumhalf?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,194 ✭✭✭ironingbored

How is that not a yellow?

Giteau is such a wonderful player.

Tbh im loosing my faith in international rugby.

Appalling display from Kaplan here, completely inconsistent and how he didn't give a penalty try or at least a yellow to cowan there is beyond me.

Good game tho, better than most Tri nations tests this year.

The ref is ruining this game!

    Harsh that yellow.

Sharpe was on his feet there!

Two big calls to disallow those two tries

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,073 ✭✭✭jamieh

Stupid penalty to give away with 2 mins left!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,194 ✭✭✭ironingbored

    Not sure about that.

Thought it came out on the Oz side.

Carters one was a sitter and look what happened there.

Silly Wallabies, should have gone for the drop goal, what were they thinking going for the try at the end!?

Carter is clearly underdone, you cant say Giteau or Barnes would have scuffed it like that.

Never now with DG's it's never guaranteed, the Wallabies tried it last year and they got charged down in a similar position.

Doubt they were going for a try looks more like they were trying to get a penalty.

Good match to watch - edge of the seat stuff - and the right team won. A surprisingly good feed from Justin TV, if you ignore the banal comments in the chatroom. :)

I thought it was a great game. Surprisingly there were a lot of silly mistakes by both teams.

Australia should have pinched it in the end. I thought Rocky, Smith, Giteau, Sharpe and the replacement FB were excellent.

New Zealand probably at worst in a good few years.

Remember this time 4 years ago. NZ were just so awesome.
