Help naming an old sci fi film?

    Hey guys,

    Hope you can help with this one. It was about an alien and a human who crash land on a planet, they start off being hostile towards each other but eventually realise if they are to survive they need each others help.

    I think it may have been made in the 80's. Just taught of it today and would love to see it again.

    wow the trailer for that movie has stirred up all sorts of dorment memories. Is there a scene in it where Dennis Quaid has to eat some form of disgusting food that the alien thinks is delicious? Or am I thinking of some other film?

    EDIT: Yeah, this scene. Thanks OP and humanji. Had completely forgotten about this movie. Gonna see if I can get it to watch it again.

    That was a great episode with the Cylon acting like a gunslinger near the end to protect Starbuck. :D
