1500 for fees? You've got to be kidding me! Does anyone know why the sudden jump in cost? I'd be happier if they had warned us beforehand so I could have saved up the money.

It was suggested way back, not sure when exactly it was confirmed but yes it is old news, obviously enough with all that has been happening this year the plight of poor college students getting a massive increase in "registration fee" (VRT anyone? Levy? fancy words for taxes and fees) was never gonna get the press the idiot bankers or fat cat developers got, bless them!

**** the unemployed ****. They had there chance, how about the gov lets new talent come in free. Makes more sence. How much does anyone want to bet that the registration charge will stay up that high next year and also have additional fees. Again the gov is money grubbing basterds.

well... on a related note, I DID hear that it's going up to 2000e for reg next year....

I did get a shock to see I had to pay 4450.... thankfully a mistake but I've been in USA for the summer and thought they'd reintroduced fees. I felt a little sick... Thankfully all one big horrible mistake...

The 1500 is the same for all the colleges. It was announced around this time last year as far as I remember there was a thread on it.

perhaps the government could provide you with free spelling lessons whilst they're at it, new talent and all that.

Can I get a loan to pay off these fees, cos this looks ridiculous. I have two years of college left.

Does no one else remember all the stuff going round all the colleges last year about fees?:confused::confused: There was a big ol' protest and all held... a few around the country in fact. The government did not reintroduce "fees" as such but did up the reg fees and all the taxes and all that, they didnt reintroduce "fees" exactly. The long and the short is they did it this way so they can stay out of the firing line of angry students for reintroducing "fees" but still get the money they want out of us. The proposed plan for the whole thing was €1500 this year and €3000 next year. Its mad!!! Also not much we can do bout it :( and to make it all worse because "fees" were directly introduced things like grants dont go up to compensate. Dont be too surprised if class numbers drop and suddenly almost all college goers just happen to all be rich kids...
