The last few times I've taken that bus (but not at that time), the timetable has been very accurate even to the point of waiting in Virginia and Navan because we were ahead of schedule. You should be safe enough. Perhaps you should call the depot in Cavan and ask them? What time is your flight at?

At times when the roads are empty the buses usually run ahead of schedule and have to wait around at the stops so I would be highly surprised if it was late.

My parents and sister took this bus to the airport a while back and it arrived ahead of time. As the others have said, when there is no traffic on the road, the bus makes great progress and has to wait at the other scheduled stops.

I wouldn't bother with ringing the nice folks in Cavan, they are all sound asleep at that hour of the morning and wouldn't have a clue about it's timing.

That particular bus is operated from Dublin and is the return working of the 7pm Dublin-Donegal service. I have driven it on occasion and can tell you that it normally would be in the Airport well before 5.30. As markpb has said it is more a case of being ahead of schedule at some of the stops at that time of day.
