Just wondering what, if anything, can be done when your site goes down? I'm hosted on digiweb. Haven't a clue why it went... it can't really be from too much traffic.

Once you are relatively sure its not something on your end/bad code/connection etc then it depends on your SLA agreements and what level of support you've paid for. There may be different support numbers for different levels of support.
I think thats what your asking.......

http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/swoponomics.com it doesn't seem to be my end, and no code was changed since last time it was working. Could someone else try? The link is in my sig.

Its hosted on digiweb student offer, so doubt the support level's too good. Sure i'll give till morning, might magically fix itself overnight.

One of the techs was probably patching the server its hosted on, rebooted the server afterwards. Probably thought noone would notice a bit of down time this time of night.
Would rarely happen with a more expensive package.

Log a support ticket with the host and see whats going on, perhaps?

This can be due to the server uptime or technical problems with the hosting company. If it happens again you should consider going with another hosting company that this does not happen too often. most companies offer 99% server uptime.
