Lisbon vs Berlin cant decide ?????

Hey,

Im planning a long weekend in the middle of September 4/5 days with a couple of mates. Thinking of going to either Berlin or Lisbon. I know chances are either will be good craic as far as bars/clubs. I suppose Lisbon will be warmer but Berlin has loads of cool stuff to do. Im just interested to see if anybody has an opinion on either city. Also price of stuff will be important in the choice.

Haven't been to Lisbon but if you're into techno, Berlin is heaven.

Clubs open all night, some for a 24 hour period. I love the concrete, industrial feel to the city. The people seriously mad. Brilliant night out.

There's touristy and historical stuff to see and do as well though.

Yeah thats what ive heard about Berlin and it sounds really good but
I dont know anyone who has been to Lisbon . Suppose were looking for a cool laid back cheap place to stay, close to all the bars and clubs and then just check out the city to see what it has to offer.

Berlin great spot, not been back since 2002. Cheaper then Dublin, better beer, proper frankfurters even went to the zoo tres impresive. Still haven't been to Lisbon, very few ever seem to venture out of Algarve when goiing to Portugal. As Cities go Lisbon never gets as good reviews as other cities but eh if its sun and relaxation you would get it there anyhow. Go for Berlin and if you have a brutal time I'd be amazed.

I've been to both and would reccommend either but if I had to choose one I'd say Berlin. Lisbon is a gorgeous city but for history, nightlife and beauty I'd pick Berlin. Do the walking tour when your there..the guides are great and very friendly. Happy visiting!

If you enjoy fun and amazing-ness, Berlin is for you. I've been all over Europe and Berlin is my favourite place. However, I haven't been to Lisbon so I can't judge it.

Lisbon is so cheap! It's a really cool city, I really enjoyed the weekend I was there. Berlin is deadly too tho... The flights are usually cheaper to Berlin, if that's a deciding factor.

Ive been to both and far prefer it as i wasnt too impressed with Lisbon (Though its 8/9 yrs since ive been). However everyone else i know thats been there loves it. Both are cheap but id reckon berlin is slightly more so. Berlin is warm in summer, freezing in winter so check what its like in september. Lisbon will still be warm and has some great beaches along the coast easily accessible via the subway/rail system and if your into surfing the conditions are great but its crowded. I f you go to Lisbon be prepared for really annoying door policies from bouncers and bring neat, respectable clothes for going out.

Only been to Berlin but i can't big up the place enough. It is a fantastic city with amazing culture and awesome nightlife. Unreal.
