    Here we go !

I'm currently working in a financial institution that is offering voluntary redundancy shortly - they are then restructuring, with new positions (a less amount than now obviously) .

I've just finished my final year in a BA in business, that the company sponsored me for the last 2 years - because of this, I technically owe them a large percentage of these fees back if I was to leave on my own accord. However, if made redundant, voluntary, or forced (e.g. if I was to apply for a position in the new restructure), I would not owe these fees back.

My final year mark was good in the Business Degree - first class honours. I want to do chartered accountancy now as a graduate. There are some factors however, the main one being I've a huge fear of not getting into anywhere ! I'd be applying to the like of the big four, and also smaller firms. Even if I was to start in Oct 2010, which I know some companies would be doing interviews soon for (milk rounds), my severance and dole (worst case scenaio, i.e. if i can't get a temp position or something) would tide me over till then.

Here's my main issue; it looks like the severance would be before September/October, when I gather these graduate interviews are. Would I be mad letting my job go ? If I was to apply for a role in my current company, and get it, I'd be facing quite an amount of fees to be paid back next year !

With a first class honours degree, and 3-4 years experience in the financial sector, what are my chances of getting accepted for a graduate position ?
