Following on from the Lady GaGa thread, i noticed several articles on Jay Z related artists on the vigilantcitizen.com site linked there.

Just wondering what others opinions are on this. Personally, I dont believe that there is a link between Jay Z and the Illuminati (if it exists). Much of the evidence presented in these pages seem to me to be based on interpretations that suit the authors agenda and ignore bits that dont fit (if the Rocafella hand sign is a pyramid that represents the all seeing eye, why is it diamond shaped rather than triangle, and rarely held at eyeline (its usually at chest level or above the head)

Added to that are (possibly deliberate) mis-quotes of lyrics to back up the arguement: Jay Z referring to Beyonce as "young B" is symbolic of her being taken over. Except the line is "Young, B" referring to her AND Jay Z.

Also, why would a record label with such strong links to the NWO release songs accusing previous and current (at the time) US governments of releasing crack and AIDS into black communities and being heavily critical of Bushs reign in general.

The below image depicts about the only proposed correlation I've heard of between Jay Z and the Illuminati though I'm sure others exist.



Apparently the void between his hands resembles a pyramid i.e. 'All Seeing Eye' symbolism, dollar bill etc.

If we run with the Illuminati theory what might be a critical flaw presents itself. Jay Z is supposed to be gesturing the outline or silhouette of a two dimensional pyramid as it is symbolically depicted. Instead Jay-Z is gesturing a front facing outline/silhouette of a three dimensional pyramid. The pyramid outline/silhouette has a fourth point beneath the middle of the base.

Of course (and still running with the Illuminati theory) it could just be a disregard for basic geometry. Try it yourself though. Not much extra effort is required to form a two dimensional triangle.

Never really considered the 3 dimensional aspect, it makes more sense than most of what ive seen on the web about his hands signals which just state "heres a picture of jayz making a triangle", accompanied by a photo of him clearly not making a triangle.

It just seems to me that the symbol is in fact merely a diamond, which is referenced in many rocafella songs, to symbolise the success of the record label and of jay z himself.

There is also the other possibility that Jay Z is using masonic imagery without being a mason, perhaps as a way of declaring his dynasty as the "new world order" of popular culture. (not sure if that reads as well as i intended - basically the masonic imagery is a metaphor for him running hiphop)

Most of the above are in the links in my first post. I found the Bloomberg one particularly amusing, the video is described as showing Jay Z and Bloomberg shutting down NY streets and Jay Z saying if he gets his way theyll keep shutting them for 100 years - cue video of them announcing a plan to pedestrianise some NY streets on saturday mornings to allow them being used for recreational purposes, those evil b*stards were even planning on giving the public free salsa classes

If you wacthed Bill Hicks Revelations show, he 'put down' many rappers at the time for not being scarry enough. 'Rappers could shoot you but Marylin Manson could steal your soul' or words to that effect.

Seems to me these dudes are just trying to fill a hole now that 'guns n hoes' are out of fashion. So they've followed someone elses train and become all mysterious 'n' mystical.

Lads its just a diamond shape, just like Diamond Dallas Page (DDP) used to do in WCW years ago, as the above poster said their was legal problems over it.
