Goats :- are ever present on Dalkey Island, though completely wild they do have a divine hand ( in the context of a local vet ) watching over them.

Yes, they gave me quite a scare when I was on the island many years ago and I unexpectedly came across them.

Dalkey Island: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dalkey_Island is a very special place and deserves some kind of official protection - I haven't been on it for many years but I hate to think what the village idiots may have done there in recent times.

St.Begnet's Church: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:St_Begnet's_Church_(Dalkey_Island).jpg and the old gun batteries make it an interesting place to spend the day but it needs wardening of some sort or it will end up like Ireland's Eye.

They're just a bunch of relegated RTE starlets from the local area. Once they're removed from Donnybrook they revert to their natural state.
