Hey,has anyone seen one of these booths at awedding?!They seem good craic. Its basically left at the reception for the day and guests record their wishes for the bride and groom.Seems fun as the night would go on.Then the bride and groom gets a DVD of the recordings a few weeks after.Would be different I think. As wedding favours are a waste of money.

I think all the above is so stoopid! Leave the guests enjoy their night without expecting them to go and record themselves wishing the b&g well - they can do that when they talk to the b&g over the night.

What is fun about a video booth?

Oh and why are weding favours a waste of money?

Because people go in when they're pissed and start talking ****e.

It's just a twist on the traditional passing around of the book where people write notes to the B & G.

I can see how it would be good alright, depends on the people though

Depends on what your wedding favour is. If it's something useful, it might not be a waste of money. But usually they end up left behind by all of the guests.

How much does it cost? The guest book is a generally fairly cheap to buy and doesn't take too much organisation.

I would fear that it would end up being abused by some guests and that someone could also say something that they really don't want on video tape for all to see.

Some video photographers go around the table and ask the guests to record good wishes for the b&g. seems like this machine is an unnecessary expense.

Its a bit of a gimmick. I usually just set up the camera in a quiet place and invite guest as they are passing to say a few words. Therefore its supervised and of course edited afterwards so there's no messing about. Its a nice piece to look back on, but in my opinion it has to be supervised.

i think they're around 600. a bit steep i think considering most of the stuff people leave is when they're pretty full and only messin on it. Its like leaving disposable cameras on the tables - does anyone ever get decent pictures from them?

I Agree with Enii. I usually go around to family and friends asking them
" would you like to leave a personal message for the B & G".
A lot of people would. For the price of getting one of these machines €600 would be better spent hiring a videographer.

It can be dangerous but fantastic at the same time.

My brotheres videographer stopped guests on their way to the toilets and asked them to say something that way it could remain close to private as it was in the corridor but still get some input.

As far as I remember there was one comment that caused some trouble, drunken waffle, so editing is a must.

More recently a friend of the family was shot, in the news recently when he was trying to protect his fried from a thug, and consequently died. He had a part in the final video where he was wishing my brother and his wife good luck and obviously this is now cherished.
