    I tried to lock the bike to the railings outside the Natural History Museum once, was told I couldn't for 'security reasons'. That's the sort of attitude he's trying to show up as conservative and nonsensical.

    I don't really like his style but It's a pretty good parody of corporate bicycle parking policy.

    Has no one else experienced officious "facilities managers" telling them to leave their bikes outside for spurious reasons?

    The security guards at Heuston Station seem to be wearing bullet-proof vests these days.
