not a whole lot of info to work with but i'd imagine about €13k would be right for one in decent condition with average miles on the clock.

I'd aim a bit lower, but you'r not far off there.

Aura books at €13,900 with 45k km, strata at €14,450

I sold one to the trade not too long ago, for a shade under 11k. I'd say to buy one retail, 13k wouldnt be far off the mark.

Any link to the car OP?

its not worth any less than 10k i'd say ,
but no more than 11k, trade money, retail between 13- 15, depending on milage spec

    +1...Around what I was thinking.

My budget is 9.5k (plus 500.00 for tax, new mats etc), total 10k. However they appear to be anything from 10.5k/11 upwards on carzone.
Thought they should be coming down more as it is nearly September.
Have considered UK, but mainly Diesels over there (I do low mileage) and net savings these days don't appear to be much?

Is it fair to expect all 2007's to be in fairly good shape, after all, they are just 2 years old?

You'd expect it, but some may well be ex. lease or rental. If that's the case, the reason they've only done 2 years would probably be due to high mileage.

If you have the reg and mileage handy I can run it through Motorcheck for you :). I got a report earlier today and noticed they've started doing vehicle valuations. No idea how accurate they are though.

I'm confused as to why someone would pay nearly 14k for a 07 1.6 petrol avensis when you could get a 07 Passat 1.9TDi for probably less?

My bro has a 06 Passat, father a 04 Passat (both 1.9 tdi) and they have had problem after problem with them. To tell ya the truth, their experiences have put me off even considering a Passat.

    Also, I would'nt pay anything like 14k for a 2007 Avensis anyway - way, way over-priced.

Thats an MC model (minor change) but it has old model alloy wheels, the model with indicators in the wing mirror should have a dark chrome/nickel coulor alloy wheel.

I would be qustioning why the alloys were changed

Is the alloy change the Minor change or is there something else too that is out of place?
Any ideas why the alloys would have been changed please?

Hi Big Zac... did you get that Motorcheck for free? Any chance you'd run 07 KE 10701? How did you do it??

07 c is sold already (aparently it only went on the market yesterday), make you wonder whether it was ever for sale..they were very keen to say that they will have some similar models coming in again soon & took my number.

Avensis got the sid indicators in the wing mirrors from mid 2006 when it was facelifted, alloy wheel design stayed the same until late 2007 when other small changes were made to the spec too. The above car could simply have been a MY06 Avensis registerd in 2007. A mute point at this stage anyway.

I wish! I'm spending a small fortune with them these days and bought a bundle of 100 checks recently (I'm in the trade). I had a couple to use before the end of the week. I have one left for a history check if you'd like me to run it on your reg?

Just reading some other threads on the lie of the land regarding future used car market in ROI, & there appears to be a gr8 argument for holding off till Jan 2010 - only 4 months away - as several contributors expect used car valuations to take a further hit on their normal Jan/new year valuations with the expected seasonal lay off's in retail employment & the pace of ROI recession kicking in further etc which will have a further detrimental effect on vehicle demand.

What are the chances of getting an 07 Avensis or Corolla for c9.5k?
