What bulb is blown? Usually it's a 2 minute job but it depends on the car

If not just one of the indicators then unfortunately on the Corsa D it is most definitely not a 2 minute job. I upgraded my bulbs last winter and it involves removing the air filter, fuse box cover and the windscreen washer funnel just to get access. After this you will then be working complete blind getting cut knuckles!

Your best bet is to have a good look of the (poor) manual pictures and then take your time in removing the first one. Be very conscious of the position of the bulb you take out (before you twist your wrist to actually remove it from the engine bay) – as you will have to put the new one back in the exact reverse order

the bulb was one of the headlights.. so it doesnt sound like an easy job at all and i dont wanna cause damages that might turn more expensive in the long run..
how much would it be to get a bulb fitted?
the dealer warned me that i wasnt gonna be able to do it on my own

after a few enquiries the cheapest i was quoted is 20e, somewhere even 30
anyone would know of anywhere cheaper??

Longshanks100 can i ask you if you did the job urself and did u have any knowledge about how to do it beforehand? im asking cos i never did it and if i could do it myself without making a mess, id do it!

You could try halfords, think they charge 2.99 to fit the bulb but I know they wont go near certain cars

I originally tried halfords, but they wouldn't look at it cos of the air filter, fuse box cover and the windscreen washer funnel needing to come out first

    thanks for that lads
i might get them to do this one for now cos i need it urgently, and then i ll try to do it myself when i can take my time cos i cant afford to spent 20 quid for every time a bulb goes
Longshanks100 can i ask you if you noticed any step in particular that required extra attention?

Halfords are a joke tbh, they should fit easy bulbs and whatnot for free, they charge for the easy stuff and won't touch the diddicult stuff. I worked in a factors years back and if asked we used to fit bulbs, wiper blades and batteries for free. We'd only not do it if it was lashing rain or if we were genuinely too busy.

i saw on halfords website the cheapest bulb is nearly 3 pounds, which would be around a fiver here..
i guess 20e is not too bad, altough really wanna do it myself
