    Hi all,

Could someone tell me where's the best place to go to get a cracked screen on an iPhone 3G repaired?

Have searched online but just getting American results.

If it's still under warranty, you could try sending it back to Apple. They will charge you, but at least you know it will be fixed properly. I sent my damaged 3G iphone (not the screen, admittedly - it was damaged by me attempting to force a dual sim card adaptor into it - [note to self: don't try that again:o]) back to apple recently and they replaced the entire phone as they could not repair it. It cost €219, including delivery to and from apple in the UK, which was a lot, but was significantly better than having to buy another one.

Even more impressive was the fact that I had opened up the phone myself and poked around inside it (in my thoroughly deluded "surely there can't be that much to fixing a phone" state), thereby theoretically voiding the warranty. Despite the fact that it was obvious that I had opened it up, they still replaced it. :)

Sorry to revive an old thread about screen repair, I thought I'd share my experience from 2010. Apple say it is out of warranty support and will charge €240 for repair (includes the price of a replacement iPhone while yours is in for repair). They're very helpful at Apple support, and you get a good service for what you pay for.

Although, I've found these guys WeFixPCs.ie who will do the job for about a third of the price. They're based in Dublin and very helpful.

I can now use the spare €160-odd to pay for the counselling session for the trauma of seeing my iPhone with a smashed screen.
