Buskers wanted for Busker 2009 - 3 rounds left

    Hey people,

    We're looking for buskers to take part in the Kilkenny 400 Busker 2009 (part of the KK400 programme for the year). There's three rounds left to go, the next one up this weekend and continuing on September 5th and September 19th.

    Each fortnight there's 200 euro up for grabs with the winning busker (voted by the public) collecting a 200 euro cash prize and possible place in the final with 1,000 euro going to the winner (prizes provided by Kilkenny Borough Council and Kilkenny 400).

    If you're interested in getting involved, or know someone who might be, the next round kicks off this Saturday at midday. Acts are asked to busk for a minimum two hours, after that the day is your own. At 2pm we go around to each act, film their performance and get the videos online for the public vote from Monday to Sunday. The act with the most votes at the end of the week gets the cash prize.

    The final will be held later in the autumn, the only way into it is by having won one of the rounds.
