Do fees have to be paid upfront?

Might be better suited to the TCD forum, but anyway. I did a year of another course elsewhere so I'm not entitled to a grant starting in Trinity and I think it also means I'm not entitled to free fees. I'm just wondering when they'll be starting to chase down the fees and I suppose how quickly they want them, would there be a way to arrange staged payments or something.

You will need to check, but you will need 50% by September / October, but you need to check the actual course and check with the college.

Called the fees office there, looks like no college for me unless a bank is feeling generous, which would be a first for me.

Go to the chaplain / priest / psychologist or whatever person / department that is there to help students with problems (head problems specifically). Tell them how you are financially in trouble and may have trouble meeting yours fees. Get them to call the fees office for you, and they should then be more willing to a longer term payment plan.

Well the lady on the phone said they have to be paid by September 1st (which I'm not sure how they expect someone to know, still haven't heard anything from Trinity themselves since accepting the offer), so I wouldn't even be in college at that point to try that option which is what I was more or less planning on, didn't think they'd be looking for the fees for a while which would give me a chance to save/source loans.

Fees need to be cleared by your registration, and take different numbers of days to clear (give it at least a week), depending on the payment method (ePay, Giro etc.). You can split your fees in two, paying the second half by the 1st of Feb

The two points above indictated that the OP would have trouble paying their fees.

At what point did you diagnose the OP with mental illness?
