Camo/Combat Pants - Brands & Sizes?

    Hey guys,

Not really into Airsoft personally (well I like the idea of it, but never actually done it, not yet, anyway) but I figure this would be the best place to put this thread. If any mods feel differently, feel free to move it.

Pretty much, I wear camo pants in my everyday life. I like the look of them. I've a few different pairs in different designs, all have been purchased from the same place. The place in question being eBay.

Due to not being overly interested in Airsoft, military, etc. I have no idea of what companies make these pants or whatnot, which is why I'm posting this here.

I bought these the other day:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/US-ARMY-COMBAT-TROUSERS-CARGO-PANTS-WOODLAND-CAMO-W46_W0QQitemZ350237275120QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMen_s_Clothes?hash=item518bc4b3f0&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14

This would be the second time I bought them from him. However, the pants aren't the same. They're better than the other ones I'm used to getting and I want to try and find out what company made them so I can get these pants in particular from now on. One of the biggest things I like about these pants is that they're very baggy around my thighs (I'm a fat bastard, and my thighs are pretty big).

This is where I'm hoping you guys may be able to help out (I emailed the eBayer, but never heard back. When I explained the above to him, he probably thought I was taking the piss, as I had to half-ass my sentences to fit into ebay's 1,000 character limit on messages).

So do you reckon you guys would be able to figure out the brand? I'd be happy to throw up a few pictures if that'd help at all (I have only wore the pants once). They're much baggier and generally much more comfortable).

The brand that I used to get off the seller are a group called "Relco". Their pants are good, but I prefer the new ones. Therefore I know that 'Relco' are definitely not the makers of the pants I'm looking for.

The only things I can point out on the combats that could be of use is that they have a gold zip (whereas Relco's zips tend to match the colour of the combats), when you close the button-pockets on the side of the pants, the buttons are exposed (and not covered, like Relcos) and the 'adjustable buckles' on each side of the pants are a plain green fabric (and not in the same design as the camo). Also, the tags (stating how to wash them and size) are inside the zipper on the front of the pants, and not at the back (like on most pants).

Out from that I can't really think what else to say.

I know this thread seems a little weird, but I just thought I'd post it up. I may never figure out who make them, but there's no harm in trying :)

I doubt they will be identifiable as there are such huge volumes of US pattern stuff out there. If they were any specific replica brand they would have it on the label.

I find British Surplus gear can be really comfy and nice and warm in winter, and you can get the stuff dirt cheap. If you are looking for specific patterns though, try www.flecktarn.co.uk/ They're UK based and have a huge stock of stuff and will be glad to advise you if you send them an email:)

    Cheers Lethal.

I realise I'm probably never going to find out, but I just thought what the hell, I may aswell ask.

Flecktarn seem like a good place, though they're a little over my head. The prices are going from 8-70 for pants it seems. I've no idea what the difference is. I'll send them along an email anyway, should do no harm, and see what they say.

Would you (or anyone else) happen to know of any other sites that sell combat pants by any chance?

    Cheers! :)

There are loads, many of the Airsoft retailers do clothing, as well as specific gear sites.

The prices on Flecktarn will generally represent if its rare gear, or a high grade reproduction.

It all really depends on how gucci you wanna go:)

Those are pretty generic US woodland knockoffs... you'll find them all over the place. It's likely they were churned out of an anonymous factory in Asia somewhere.

Definitely +1 for Felcktarn. They're a fantastic supplier and extremely helpful. Their prices are pretty competitive too.
If you want basic combat kit, they're the place to go, your basic surplus cammo gear tendsto be cheap (partulcularly US, German and UK stuff) with things getting pricier with more obsucre kit or higher end gear ( ie German standard combats v. German KSK trousers).
Issues kit is cheaper than new kit, but may be damaged or worn.

    Also try www.asmc.de, www.surplusandadventure.co.uk, http://www.army-surplus.co.uk and http://www.patriotsurplus.com/

I've used them all, they're all great. I particularly recommend the first two.
