    Hi All.
I'm just wondering if I get a Variable mortgage now while the rates are low is it possible to switch to Fixed when rates begin to go up?
I know it is possible to go the other way Fixed to Variable (If you pay a sizeable amount for switching)

    Thanks is advance.

Yes, you should be able to fix it without any problems, although the rates might be higher than the variable.

Won't the lenders always be one step ahead, though?
