Boarding Europe in February

    Hey,
I'm hoping to get a week or two snowboarding in Europe February next and was looking to see where would be decent. I had considered Geneva as a place to land in, with hundreds of resorts within a few hours journey, but I'd be open to suggestions.

I've done a few months in Lake Louise, Canada; my first season. I would consider myself of average ability. Greens and blues come easy, I can handle myself on blacks, double blacks terrify me but I'm willing. I guess I'm looking for an intermediate resort with some advanced terrain available to terrify myself on. Once the place has good snowfall, with that pleasant possibility of getting 15-20cms on a good night(one can hope).

Apres ski would be a bonus, but really I just want some powder mornings to get me through the winter until I get a chance to go back to Canada, and more importantly, :DRevelstoke:D next year.

    Any suggestions appreciated!

You could check out Chamonix. Ive been going there twice a year for the last 5 years and love the place. I have been to many other places but I cant fault Cham. There 4 "areas" in the valley 5 if you include Plannards which is in Chamonix town itself. The amount of off piste riding available is unreal (make sure your prepared for all of the dangers that could be encountered)

I havent been to Canada or the States for boarding yet(my mates have) but Im off to Lake Tahoe in two weeks so Im going to sus the place out.

The rest of the guys on this fourm are a wealth of knowledge and Im sure you will get some other great suggestions.
