    Hi all.

I need some help finding out the make of a shotgun that I am applying for a dual licence on. The owner of the gun isn't sure what make it is.

Its a 12 bore O+A. On one of the barrels it shows the markings "armitecniche-pizzini-emilio" Well at least I think the first few letters are a-r-m-i. Its a bit faded/worn. It also says "made in Italy". I cant find any other markings apart from the serial number.

Do these mean anything to anyone here? I will post pics as soon as I can.

Sound. Won't be able to look at it until this evening. Some stupid policy of not being allowed to look at personal e-mail at work!!

Thank God they haven't heard of Boards.ie yet:D

Well if it is a dual licence there should be no problem, bring a copy of the other persons licence with you otherwise the poor FO wil be confused and he wont go out of his way to enquire,so go armed with as much info as you can

He's having trouble finding the licence, just moved house. Its not on his extension letter. I'm pretty sure 4gun and dave999 are right saying its a rizzini. It looks very like this.

Lots of rizzinis are covered there, divides into sporting, clays etc, so when you find it you'll know what area it is designed for

Nice one Mellor. Thanks a million for that.;)

    Pajero,
If you post clear readable photos of the stampings on the barrels and receiver someone on the board may be able to help.

Emilio Rizzini shotguns are currently manufactured and distributed by the sisters Fausti, Elena, Giovanna and Barbara at their factory, Fausti Stefano SRL, Via Martiri dell'Indipendenza, 7025060 Marcheno V.T. (Brescia) Italy.
Send an E-mail off to info@faustistefanoarms.com or fabio@faustistefanoarms.com with the information on the barrels and there are probably some marks (stamps) on the receiver also. Clear readable photos of the stampings would be a help in determing the maker.

FYI: There are four different and independent Rizzini's involved in the manufacturer of firearms.
F.lli Rizzini make only high quality, custom made shotguns and rifles. The least expensive gun by this maker is about 50,000+ Euros plus the cost of engraving. One could easily pay 100,000 Euros for an engraved gun by F.lli Rizzini.

Isidoro Rizzini (F.A.I.R) and Battista Rizzini also build guns but are separate companies.
