just looking for pros snd cons on wrappers. i like to wrap at the storage area so mchale remote is tempting me , but the kvernland trailed looks like fine machine also, so would welcome opinions

I've got 2 Kverneland 7520 wrappers, a good solid machine. They're also available with a remote control kit like the McHale, but are a bit more expensive. I've had no problems with them though and wouldn't say a word against them.

I've no experience with the KV wrappers but have done tons of work with a Mchale 991BER remote control setup. The McHale is generally a very reliable machine, in fact I would say they're pretty much bullet proof. The only thing I can ever remember breaking on it was a roll pin in the gear box (Simple fix) and the drive chain on the turntable which was old and a bit knackered. Apart from that we haven't had any trouble.

Only happened the one time to me, out of a total of about 25,000 bales i would say ;) The shear bolt on the other hand is a much more frequent break, but thats a 2 min job to change

Used a KV trailed 7517 for a while, a good strong unit, make sure the cut/tie unit is working correctly

Well he was obviously doing something wrong then because its not supposed to break, thats what the shear bolt is for, me and vince wrapped nearly 200,000 bales between us and it only ever broke once.

The McHale is a boringly reliable machine and quite well designed. Older KV models were primitive, but they have stepped up their game since, but cant say anything against McHale, and I would deffinetly reccomend you go with the green option.
