How do I transfer a music file/folder to itunes?

It's music I already have on my computer that I downloaded. I tried the 'add file/folder' but it won't work so I tried importing one song and a box popped up stating it did not a valid export (I'm guessing that one is only for cd's)

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Pint of Guinness if you get this far!

Ok so I have looked into it and it looks like the music I want to transfer are FLAC files, are these compatible with itunes?

How do I go about fixing this.

Just drag and drop the folder into itunes, make sure yur directory is somewhere you want it.
And I recomment checking the box, 'Let itunes organise my folders'

    :)

I tried clicking and dragging and it still doesn't work.

I googled it and it appears the .FLAC files are not compatable with itunes so I will have to convert it to MP3

So I'm going to download Fluke and give it a go.

Tallon, wheres the box 'let itunes organise my folders' What does it mean?

OH, you never said .FLAC... Thats the devils file type

It's under edit > Preferences > Advanced > keep itunes folder organised

basically It copies your files to the folder you specify, then you just delete the original after copy. saves on files being all over the place. Also organises them by artist etc for easy lookup or burning

    I recommend using it :)

    *Sigh* Windows wouldn't open Fluke.

I got the file off (removed) so will be avoiding .flac files in future!
