Bad pings...

    The last while ive been getting bad ping speeds and was just wondering whats causing it and what can I do to help improve it?

    Im on eircom 3mb bb. Recently switched to the open dns thinking it would help improve it and at times it does when im back to 50ms.

    On average though its between 360ms-400ms.

    OpenDNS, or any other DNS server would have no bearing on your pings. What are you pinging anyway?

    pinged boards, liverpool fc website, google....

    Google is dynamically load and geo balanced by the Akamai DNS, it's not reliable for such purposes. Show the full results of pings to boards and LFC's site. Also get the line stats from your router as per the sticky.
