Commuting to Gmit from headford for 1st year

    Is it going to kill me,;)
    probaly getting the bus for a while till I get around to buying a car

    Just wondering if anyone knows what time most people are in in the morning , or does it vary widely?

    It depends on the course really! Probably 9 or 10 o'clock starts but you really won't know for sure till you get the timetable!

    I did that for first year, it means getting the early bus every morning which is a right pain in the ass when it rains.

    Also parking in GMIT in a pain in the ass, if at all possible moving in to town and forget the car. I did this in my last year in college and I lived about 2 miles from the college, this also meant I needed to be in the college every morning before 10. Coming in from Headford at that time of the morning is a right pain due to the traffic.

    Traffic around that area at both rush hours is a right bitch.

    Burkes buses run through to GMIT in the morning, ones later in the day stop in the city, so you'd have to get a 2nd bus out. Might be easier to just go earlier.

    Catching the bus means you get to use the bus-lanes, which makes life a bit quicker.
