I played this 'new' course last week. Its a very good course. The greens are excellent, the fairways are very good considering how new they are, the back 6 holes are excellently laid out, they are carved into the existing landscape, ie. trees, rolling hills, and traversing the river Slaney.
This is the 15th, taken on my crappy mobile phone:

The photo doesn't do it justice. Incidently its the only hole I scratched, I lost my 1st tee shot right, then the 2nd tee shot left, but I eventually ended up with an 8 !! a true card wrecker of a hole, but a beauty, there's 2 small lakes, 2 mini-waterfalls, a stream oh and numerous bunkers awaiting your 2nd shot, once you've found the fairway and avoided 'that' tree !
/Thank goodness that 'lift' was working on the 18th !

Edit: they have .3gp video files of all the holes for your iPhone on their website !

Walked around that course a few months ago - looked amazing. Great looking practice facilities and the the clubhouse and pro shop etc look top class too.

    Is that your Divot? :p

Nope. The phone came out before the driver. My thinking was: "Wow, what a fantastic looking golf hole!", then 2 shots later: "fcek, I hate this hole!" :pac::p

I believe you have to go up in a lift to one of the tees, is that right?

I've been at the range there a few times, the course looks spectacular and, if the putting green is anything to go by, extremely well kept. Itching to play it.

Fantastic Course! Played it there during their open week.
In a few years it will be better with the tree growth on the fairways!

Would have shot my best round to date on that course if it was not for my bloody putter!

The clubhouse is class to with views of many of the holes.

OOPS! Sorry.... been a bit busy!

Only took a few pics as I was trying to hit a golf ball ;)

Major emphasis on the word "TRYING":mad::mad:

The experience from start to finish in Bunclody was a really pleasant one.

Beautiful driveway leading you to that stunning clubhouse. Friendly and efficient Pro shop staff. Top class practice area. Not too demanding of a course... if you are even a little bit consistent ;). It has a mix of holes that is a little strange but I am sure it will all blend better when the course matures - eg: 1st five feel wide open and then 6,7,8, and 9 are in a mature wooded area - but far from unpleasant!!
The most fun bit was when we reached the 9th tee there was a notice board with a menu for the "Half Way House" and a phone to give your order :D. Tee'd off, played the hole - a short par 4 - played badly . Sambo was waiting for us at the 10th tee!! Happy days!!! All in all a very good day, apart from my playing, but finished with my tail up with a par on the 18th and a nice pint of Guinness in the clubhouse after!
I am sure a lot of the better players on the forum may not find it a tough challenge but for us "social" golfers it is a nice way to spend a (sunny!) day.

Uploading pics as I type........ I'll be back to edit this shortly!!

Have to ask about the lift on the 17th, where does it actually bring you to? In the picture it just looks like a viewing platform.

Played it earlier in the summer - superb course and plenty of options for all golfers.

Liked all the holes and that 15th is definitely a card wrecker!

Looking forward to playing it again!
