    Hi folks,

Firstly,I'll give you my set up.

Main Location. -Main TV,Sky HD Box,Sky Digibox,DVD Recorder,Terrestrial Aerial. Terrestrial Aerial goes from wall into Sky HD Box.

    Viewable Channels on my TV 1.RTE 1 , 2. RTE 2, 3. TV3, 4 TG4, 5. Sky Digibox, 6. Sky HD Box.

A distribution amplifier distributes to the main TV , Kitchen, Bedroom.

The problem relates to reception mainly on TV3 and the Sky Digibox. When viewing through coax the picture has waves on all three tv's.Obviously viewing through a scart there is no problem.

I had this problem before and by "moving around " the aerial cable behind the TV seemed to get rid of it. However,I had to move my stuff last week to fit a new set of sockets and put in phone lines for multiroom. When everything was put back the waves were back as described above. Now,there are a lot of cables behind the tv and I have them tidied the best I can. However, does anyone know what the likely cause of the waves is? maybe some cable needs to be kept clear of another cable? Bear in mind, all was spot on until I moved everything!

    Any advice appreciated.thanks

Whats the UHF channel number of TV3? Just a guess, maybe the RF channel output of your Digibox is clashing with TV3? If so, press, Services 4-0-1, Select, then go into option 4, RF outlets and change the RF channel number. Might solve it.

Things have improved after doing what you say. However, I forgot to say I also have magic eyes on my two other tv's. As a result of using the magic eyes my reception on TG4 goes almost totally and TV3 not great. If I don't connect the eyes the reception is then ok. I am thinking it may be due to the splitter I am using . I previously used this splitter before getting the amplifier. The splitter takes 2 cables, the Rf2 cable from one of digiboxes and the other cable from the same digibox which is inputting all the channels into the amplifier prior to their distribution to my 3 tv's. Does anyone know if there is a splitter which will do what I need without weakening the signal on these channels?
