Engineering Degree question?

    I currently have a ordinary Degree in electronic engineering from tallaght IT. I have the option to do an honours degree in electronic engineering in tallaght. I'm thinking about doing an honours degree in dundalk IT called sustainable design engineering. The sustainable design is very similar to the electronic engineering coarse. The reasons I want to do the coarse in dundalk is that it's a 1 year honours degree while the honours degree in tallaght is 2 years.

    My question is, will it limit employment options as the name of the coarse isn't a well recognizes field in engineering?

    In my view it has its good and bad merits... AFAIK the electronic engineering course is accredited by engineers Ireland and suppose thats a good thing but many people her couldnt care less about EI especially for elec engineers as they are civil based mainly.

    Anyways I will presume the sustainable design course is in relation to sustainable energies and this is a good market in the future but there seems to be a new breed of these sustainable energies course popping up so research them.

    i know the Dundalk one is a year shorter but dont let that factor too highly in this because after you graduate you will hopefully have long career in this and you might as well pick something you enjoy
