I would have said that more places do payzone than 3v but since the introduction of payzone most outlets that do one now do the other. 3V is pretty much online only whereas payzone can be used in shops and at atms. Payzone is cheaper to load.

What turned me off payzone is the fact they charge you for everything and anything you do with the card so if you load €100 you never get the full use of that €100 because of their charges. At least with 3V you paid your loading fee and that was it. Payzone has dormancy fees, 3V doesn't.

Even though payzone can be used in more places I was soured on it by the fees they charge so if you just want to use a card online go with 3V.
