Contacts: Daily Disposable versus the rest

    Hi,

I'm using contacts more than ever this past month or two and I'm off to teach for the next year so I'll be in a classroom each day. As I hate my glasses - clumsy, confining things that they are - I will be wearing contacts more.

Until now, however, I have only ever used Daily Disposable lenses. This has suited me as most of the time I would just be studying and writing in front of the computer screen and glasses were easier on the eyes. I only used the lenses when I was going out for the night. Now, I'll be using them at least 5 days a week while teaching.

My question is, therefore, given my greater use of lenses would I be better moving away from the Daily Disposables and to another type? If so, what would be the best type of lenses? (e.g. 24 hour etc)

PS: I wanted to have laser surgery but my prescription was not stable enough so, having been accepted for surgery in 2007, the same place in 2008 rejected me due to worsening prescription. So, it looks like I'm stuck with lenses for a while and I better get used to them.
