Hi this is for all m249 owners please post pics off ur m249 in action and Vote for the one you perfer and say y u voted 4 it....May the best win...

Ok i,ll start off with the MKII....The mkII has alonger barrel so it has better range and more accurate..It is also longer so its Very hard to do snap shoots but same goes for the Para....Its heaver than the para (slightly but much harder to walk around with due to its size and bad maneurverability....It also has no ras rail on the feeding tray....It has more room for a battery due to it being housed in the stock instead of the foregrip....Its stock is very sturdy unlike the paras stock where theirs alot of movement...

Now the PARA......The para is smaller and more maneurverable but still Heavy...
Its less accurate due to its shorter barrel length and also has a shorter range....
But it has an ras rail on top of the feed tray:D:rolleyes:
It has less room for a battery due to the foregrip having limited space....
Its stock is metal (pot metal & abit of steal) and very flimsy unlike the MKII but the mkII has a plastic stock so the Para has more metal paras as the MKII But Is still somehow lighter!!

    MkII Pros:
    Great Price
    Looks like a beast
    Sturdy
    Great range,Accuracate & Power
    lots of upgradable parts....

    MKII Cons
    Box Mag miss feeds
    Some weak potmetal parts
    Hopup Sucks
    Heavy as an elephant

    Para Pros
    Great Price
    Mostly Metal
    Lots of Upgradable Parts
    Looks like a Cool Gun(Not A Beast:p)
    collapsable stock
    R.A.S Rail

    Para Cons
    Heavy As An Elephant
    Hopup sucks
    More weak metal parts
    Box mag misfeeds
    Flimsy stock (weak)
Shorter range and less accurate then MKII

So lets see witch is better say why and vote the winner Rules and has permission to mock the the Loser:eek::eek::eek:The mods better not ban me for that:p:p!

By the way i vote for the A&K M249 MKII

Hang on. How long have you had either (or any) M249?

you + and - make no sence, there all the same internals how can the hop up be crap in one but not in the others, the upgrade options tbh are the same for all the differences are cosmetic at most

Precisely, the differences are merely to shape and form. You get 4in more barrel in the Mk2 and Mk1 than you would in the Para but 4in wouldn't make any noticeable difference to accuracy in any condition.
The stock of the Para is far from flimsy. It may seem that way at first touch but that's due to its nature: it's a sliding/folding stock. It can't be rock solid or it wouldn't retract cleanly and easily.

The one true weak point the A&K M249 has is the hop, but that's a simple $15 replacement job.

I haven't ever, I was just saying that "GTFO and take your fail with you" was a bit harsh. Humourous in a snide kind of way, You disagree?

But it's got a kitty so it's ok, right?

with repsect, your whole post is based on your theory, which is incorrect to be honest.

theres no difference in performance between any of the A&K 249 varients. they all have the same gearbox and hopup and the hopup isn't very good. the extra barrel length means nothing since its not a fancy tightbore and without upgrading the hopup you'll see no advantage anyway.
how can you say "hopup sucks" on both of them while still saying they both have great range and accuracy? Do you have any experience of wither gun?

The para isn't limited when it comes to battery's either, you can get a 10.8v mini or even bigger in there if you want, the para is also heavier if i remember correctly but its only by a little bit.

Although the bipod is made from pot metal (as is the rest of the gun, and pretty much most airsoft guns) its still plenty durable. i dont think ive ever seen one broken.
