    Greetings,

I'm moving back towards small - mid cap equities as I think the lay of the land is pretty good once again. For the last few months I've been riding out through commercial paper and before that the financial melt down equities + FX.

These are pretty easy areas to research. I'd be looking at US, UK and BRIC markets. Anyone else putting money down in those areas have an idea who publishes interesting ideas?

If you're looking for a few idea, you could do a lot worse than piggy-backing on the ideas of some of the well known value investors. Check this interview out with Paul Sonkin where he talks about investing in the small/microcap environment.

I have also been very impressed with Sardar Biglari who is CEO of Western Sizzlin and Steak n' Shake. In the face of a recession, he's done a fantastic job in turning these businesses around and is extremely shareholder friendly (he's a big stakeholder and is still currently snapping up shares). There are a couple of investors who actively follow Biglari and the companies that he runs. Try Ragnar is a Pirate and Noise Free Investing and you'll get a flavour for how this Biglari chap runs his company.

Disclosure: I hold shares in Rand Logistics (RLOG).
