Has anybody had any dealing with KMC motors, they are in Tallaght. I saw a car advertised today that I`d be interested in, but they only have a mobile phone number, and when I only see mobile number alarm bells do ring a bit, why isnt there a landline number?. Obviously I will still check it, but a bit odd that only a mobile unless something isnt right

Marlfield Motors, Kiltipper Motors, KMC - draw your own conclusions from that!

Avoid this place, just walk away. I was out there looking at cars. They have no log books for any of the cars that I was looking at. Only 1 person there, no other staff, including meachanics. Only a mobile number. The guy there told me they buy the cars of a another garage, thats why there is no logbooks, seems not right to me.

It's a couple of guys working together to sell out of one location. I've dealt with them in the past - with no issues. They tend to sell at the cheaper end of the market. And I did get a logbook.

Where exactly are they? I live very close to there and can't think of any place they could be?

The car that I wanted had no log book, but car seemed to be fine. But still not so sure, as there is no mechanics working there. I didnt think to ask at the time. But will be going back tomorrow as car is good price and will ask about mechanics, I will have my own mechanic with me to check car. Cars are quite cheap there compared to other places.

To the best of my knowledge, they're not a garage, hence the lack of mechanics. They seem to operate as dealers only.

Make sure to bring someone with you to check out the car, and look for some kind of warranty on the gearbox & engine at the very least.

Each dealer there has his own stock and the other lads would only know the basics about the other lads' cars. If you're interested in a particular car, then you need to talk to the dealer who has it up for sale.

Avoid this place as they are not a registered company and they pretend they are. I have purchased a car there and the sales person guarantee the timing belt was changed giving me a receipt with 30 days guarantee however the timing belt broke two weeks after.

The dealer didn't want to repair and was not afraid of the justice as they are not a registered company, two weeks after the gear box broke down.

I wish the revenue office would go there and inspect the place to close it. If is a disrespect with the good faith of the people.

Did I say something that wasn't meant to be said?

Seems half the string has been removed.

Yes, I noticed that to. Someone commented they bought a car with no log book or nct and I asked was it even legal.

    Maybe we said something wrong?

Did you not drive it before you bought it, and have a mechanic look it over?
