Have you set up loaded drivers for the units in Audio Midi ?

The way I understand it (and I'm open to correction) Logic talks to the Audio/Midi Preferences which then talks to the outside world.

I got caught on that one a week ago on a PT system !

    Hi Alan,

How are you finding the performance of Logic 9 as opposed to Logic 8?

I was going to upgrade but I am a bit worried that my Imac won't be able to run 9 as efficiently as 8.

    Anyone any views on this?

    Thanks

    Rockshamrover.

Upgraded my imac to 4 gig of ram. Only cost 50quid from orca.com.Logic 9 takes a little while to load each song and has overloaded a few times on me already and thats with using less tracks than i used on logic 8 and minus a video. On the plus side some of the new additions such as stomp boxes and amps plus changing audio to midi are quality so far.. Am guessing apple will release software updates to ease the flow of the program. Some people are waiting till better editions come out but i wanted to learn how to use it as quick as possible. On a whole it looks better and would deffo recommend getting it..

    Alan,

Thanks for the info. How many tracks are you using before you run into problems and are you using many plug ins?

I might hold off on upgrading until the fixes come out.

    Rock
