Just finished doing up a Massey Ferguson 135 for a neighbour.
Did up the engine as new, lift, new cab etc.

he wants wide turf tyres on her, front and back for the bog.

wondering lads , where i would get turf tyres and rims to suit a MF 135

    Thanks

Turf tyres for the bog:eek: i would have thought they would not be great.

But if you want them keep an eye on ebay sets of tyres all-ways come up.

Don't know if turf tyres would be a great job on the bog, there isn't a whole lot of grip with them. A set of wide front tyres off a 4 wheel drive tractor might suit better on the back, or even a set of duals

I'd say by 'turf tyres' he means tyres for the bog (duals) rather than actual turf tyres. No?

i would be thinking alont the same lines he maens wide tires for bog use

yeah lads, looking for wide duals for the front for the bog.

i got a set of duals for the back.

front duals and clamps are hard to get for the fronts ??

What I have seen work very well on 2WD tractors especially smaller ones is a set of dual wheels for the front that are smaller than the standard wheels. This leaves the steering as normal but gives the extra lift in the soft stuff if you ever start to go down. Anything I've seen has been a custom welded and clamped/bolted type job though.

you can get the nuts that hold on the first wheel , and have thread to bolt the second wheel to, they are as good on that size of tractor, as any clamps.

20 wheels are ideal for the front of a 35,135, as duals

i saw a nutty job done on a ford 3000
the dude put double wheels from a transit on with van tyres,on the front instead of the tractor wheel

don't know how he fared out with stud patterns and the lark but if you got skinny landrover tyres the same radius,i wonder would it work.

the guy i work for uses van tyres on the front of the ford 4000s

Get onto agrigear in cavan about front wheels or else get a 14" transit wheel and make it fit as someone before said a bit smaller on the front is better ive had a 35 on the bog with standard wheels doubled with transit wheels for years now
