School Numbers

It makes me laugh to hear about over crowding in our primary schools in our area of East Galway, because in that area we have 2 schools with less than 10 children in each. I cannot see what keeps parents from sending their children to these wonderful schools where they recieve such an excellent education due to the small teacher pupil ratio and fine facilities, there is transport provided and all.Surely there must be parents out there who want this sort of attention for their children, I know some think there are too few children for a kinship in the schools , but if enough look at the pluses involved the numbers will increase enough to have the best of Both worlds. Aughrim and Caltra would love to hear of new students to help keep these traditions of outstanding education going for years.

There are so many children. If the children aren't in an area, there is only so much a school can do.
