my plan is to get a xbox to vga adapter, and set it up as a mediacenter extender in the bedroom

questions

1) is the quality okay when you use a vga screen with the xbox, will it use the screens resolution, or some HD tv's setting, or even an SD tv's setting

2) sound... i will need external speekers, anyone know of standalone speakers that adjust volume by infrared, so the MCE remote will control it
